Dr. Enrique Chiu Han is a physician–scientist in training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he is completing a combined residency in Neurology and Psychiatry. His career bridges the neurosciences, clinical medicine, and mathematical thinking.
Dr. Chiu Han graduated from the Facultad de Medicina of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), one of Latin America’s most prestigious medical schools. During his medical school studies, he completed a clinical rotation at the University of Minnesota, working in Neurology and Cardiology.
Dr. Chiu Han’s early academic interests extended beyond medicine. He represented Mexico at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), a distinction reserved for some of the world’s top problem solvers.
At UT Southwestern, his work focuses on functional neuroimaging, connectome harmonics, and interventional psychiatry. He has been selected for the American Psychiatric Association’s 2025 Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators.
